The Last Battle? (A sonnet)
They said it was the war to end all wars,
but soon they found that this was not the case.
This war was known by all as World War One
But World War Two the world was soon to face.
A German tyrant planned to rule the world,
The Japanese attacked the USA.
This bloody war called World War Two was fought .
Again the Allies put their foes away.
Now World War Three is being fought against
the evil forces in The Middle East.
If nuc’lar bombs get in these evil hands,
it’s likely that much more than war will cease.
This war, to end all wars, in truth may be
Obliteration of reality.
