Bart the Gator and Willie the Frog
Willie the Frog lived in a pond,
And Willie was pretty smart.
He had to be, ‘cause in that pond
Lived Alligator Bart
Ole Bart was sly and crafty, too.
“I’m gonna eat that frog.
“I’ll catch im on a lily pad,
“Or get him on a log.”
“I’ll bide my time, and I’ll just wait,
Cause I’m a patient gator.
“Though he evades me for a while,
“I’ll get him soon or later.”
But Willie was slyer and craftier.
“That gator I can dodge.
“I’ll look just like the sky or grass.
“By the use of camouflage.”
So Bart looked everywhere for him-
Around the pond, both far and wide.
But with his artful camouflage,
From Bart sly Williehad managed to hide.
